BUSINESS LINK is a web-based platform, created by Business Mauritius in collaboration with the UNDP, connecting both large companies and SMEs based on their procurement needs.  Any duly registered business, whether small, medium, or large, can sign up as a buyer, post procurement notices, and benefit from access to a larger pool of suppliers, who are exclusively SMEs. 
 
The BUSINESS LINK initiative aims to empower SMEs through wider access to procurement opportunities and the potential for collaborative partnerships within the industry. 

BUSINESS LINK is very easy to use: Businesses post their procurement notices, complete with descriptions of the goods or services being requested, specifications, and deadlines. These notices are then matched against the notification preferences of registered SMEs, who have exclusive access to the tender details. Interested parties can express their interest and are invited to contact the buyers directly to make their offer or bid.

BUSINESS LINK provides large businesses with a wider pool of reliable and competitive suppliers, allowing them to diversify their sourcing options. SMEs benefit from access to new markets, increased visibility, and the potential for expanding their business partnerships. Additionally, SMEs gain visibility by featuring in the SME listing.

The procurement platform is open to all duly registered Mauritian companies with a valid Business Registration Number. Company credentials are required in order to create a profile. Access is typically granted to procurement managers or company representatives with the appropriate permissions. 

Access to BUSINESS LINK is free of charge.

To post a procurement notice: 
  • Log in to your account and click on "Create Procurement Notice". 
  • Fill in the form with the details of your procurement need, such as the title, description of the goods or services, budget, and deadline. You can also attach any relevant documents or images. 
  • Once you submit your procurement notice, it will be posted on the platform and reviewed by the admin team for moderation, if needed. 

Log in to your account and browse through the available procurements that match your profile. You can add the relevant filters to suit your preferences and browse projects by goods or services. Once you find a procurement that interests you, click to view more details and respond by contacting the company directly using the provided contact details. 

 The Company profile can be edited by going to "My account > Profile overview > Edit".

You can update your profile in "My account > Profile overview".

Use the navigation tabs and access your procurement notices in "My Account > Procurement Notices". There, you can edit a deadline or delete them if needed.

You can manage your notification preferences in "My Account > Notification Preferences", where you can choose goods and/or services for which you would like to receive alerts when new procurement notices are created.

The platform is optimised for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. Ensure you are using the latest version of these browsers for the best experience. BUSINESS LINK is also accessible via mobile devices.

Proceed to “My Account > Feedback” to leave us a feedback on a particular business. Note that feedback is currently only visible to the BUSINESS LINK admins and is not publicly displayed.

Click on the 'Forgot Password' link on the login page and follow the instructions to reset your password. For further assistance, please contact Business Mauritius.

The platform uses encryption, secure login protocols, and regular security audits to ensure your data is protected against unauthorised access.
